We are just back from a performance at Istanbul Jazz Festival 2011. International stars like Herbie Hancock, Jamie Cullum, Wayne Shorter, Marcus Miller and Michel Camillo were the top acts. We would like to thank all our fans in Turkey for their extraordinary energy and presence! They welcomed us and our music with such a wonderful openness and hospitality that made the event to an unique experience for us. Thank you!

11-05-06 - Grooveheadz CD Release "Haide, haide, hai!"

Grooveheadz present their debut album "Haide, haide, hai!”

From New York clubs to Turkish festivals to Caribbean stadiums,  people everywhere are jumping to the pumping polka beats of  GROOVEHEADZ. "Party, party and lots more party!” is the motto of the  Viennese band. Despite being only 2 years old, the band regularly fill  concert halls, psyching up the crowd to such an extent that hardcore  fans have been known to rip off the band member's T-shirts at the end of a gig.

Balkan music meets funk, ska meets rock. But above all, GROOVEHEADZ  represent a coming together of the East, the West and the Rest. Within  a short time, this exceptional group have advanced from being the  hottest Viennese underground act to an established cross-over troupe  with a dedicated cult following. Featuring a biting horn section from  Bulgaria, thumping beats from Czechia and the unmistakeable voice of  Romanian Christiana Uikiza, the Balkan ska mashup's message is loud  and clear: party without visas! GROOVEHEADZ' sound is a welcome breath  of fresh air for ears dulled by bland chart music. Their fantastic new  album, "Haide, haide, hai!” sees the band reach another milestone in  their development, while also introducing a new and unique pop style.  Ten highly danceable songs, loud, uncompromising and full of energy,  delivered with an authentic carefree spirit and a healthy dose of  humour.
